What to do when cloud images are view-only
If hospital images are view-only, no DICOM package is offered or you do not know how to export, submit a valid authorized link or QR code to FineSight's Medical Image Download. Supported entries are retrieved, downloaded or converted to DICOM from available files or pixel data, reducing the need to inspect network traffic and organize images yourself. The task result states the file provenance.
Steps
- Confirm that the images load in the original hospital page before submitting the link.
- Check for download, export, original data, or report options and note any verification requirements.
- Paste the authorized link or upload its QR code on the download page and provide the hospital-required details. Recognition determines the retrieval, download or conversion path; unrecognized entries can be submitted for adaptation assessment.
- After completion, check the image count, report, and result details before saving the files securely.
Please submit only records you are authorized to retrieve. The service does not provide medical advice.
Frequently asked questions
Does no download button mean it is impossible?
Not necessarily. Submit the valid authorized link or QR code to Medical Image Download to check whether the platform provides original DICOM or data that can be converted. You do not need to analyze interfaces yourself; delivery and provenance depend on recognition and the processing result.
Why test the link in a browser first?
It confirms that the link is valid and the verification details still work.
Choose the next step from what the page shows
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Download or export button | Check whether it provides a report, pictures, or a DICOM study package. |
| Working viewer, no export | Submit a valid authorized link or QR code. Supported entries follow the recognition result; unrecognized entries can be submitted for adaptation assessment. |
| Report but no image series | Check whether this is a report-only entry and ask about a separate imaging link. |
| Sign-in or expiration message | Complete the hospital verification or obtain a new valid link first. |
Does Save Page As preserve the study?
It does not establish that the study is complete. Saving a web page or printing a PDF mainly preserves page content. The viewer may load imaging data on demand, so an offline page does not prove that all series and reports are present.
A visible image confirms that the online viewer is still available; access to source DICOM depends on what that share exposes. If only rendered pictures are available, conversion cannot recover information that the platform did not provide. The route can be assessed, or you can ask the hospital for a source export.
What to do in each situation
- Images display but there is no download button: look for an official share or export option, then check service support.
- Only a report is visible: ask the hospital whether imaging access is available for this share.
- The share expired or needs verification: obtain valid authorization from the hospital or sender.
- Only rendered images are available: clarify the intended use and request original DICOM from the hospital when required.
